Stanley Burton Centre PhD Scholarships at Leicester University in UK, 2018-19

The Leicester University (UoL) is offering the applicant for the Stanley Burton Centre PhD Scholarship (fee-waiver) in Holocaust & Genocide Studies which is commencing February 2019. This scholarship is eligible to suitable new UK/EU and International applicants and awarded to new postgraduate researchers.
The University of Leicester is carry out to international excellence through the creation of world changing research and high quality, spiritual inspiration teaching. This University was ranked 6th in the UK for research in the 2014 Guardian REF League Table.


Scholarship Description:


  • The Applications should be submitted before due date which is September 14, 2018. 
  • The Course Level of the Scholarship is obtainable to pursue PhD programme.

Eligibility Criteria:


Applicants must meet the following criteria points:

The Applicants must have a 1st class or high upper second-class honors degree (or equal to qualification) in history or a accepted discipline and meet the University’s Standard English language entry requirements.

The Applicants should be able to bespeak a strong interest in research and it is advantageous that applicants be proficient minimum 1 language other than English. The Presence in Leicester and participation in the activities of the Burton Centre is a requirement.

The Applicants should also have a Master’s degree with merit or distinction in a accepted discipline or be able to show proof that they will obtain this before February 2019.

This scholarship is open to suitable new UK/EU and International (i.e., outside the EU) applicants. This scholarship covers tuition fees at the UK rate only. International applicants (and those not eligible to pay UK tuition fees) should demonstrate at the time of their application that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates. The scholarship is for full- or part-time study. To be paid to UK visa reduction, international applicants are not normally able to study part-time.

The scholarship will be return to annually subject to the student successfully passing the yearly assessment. Students will be encouraged to apply for sources of additional funding like as the Midlands Cities project and will be provided support through this procedure.

The Applicants must be able to begin their studies in February 2019.

The Applicants should meet the Universities’ English Language Requirements.

Procedure of Application:
