Punjab University (PU):
The University of Punjab, Pakistan was formally founded by the British Government after convening the first meeting for creating higher education institutions in October 1882 at Simla. The University of Punjab (PU) known as Punjab University which is a public research university. It is situated in Lahore, Pakistan. Punjab University (PU) is the oldest and largest university in Pakistan. It has multiple campuses in Jhelum, Gujranwala, and Khanspur,.This university was the 4th university which was created by the British colonial authorities in the Indian subcontinent. PU is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities of the United Kingdom (UK).In PU University Approximately it has 30,000 students attend the university and has a total of 13 faculties within which there are 63 academic departments, research centers, and academy. by the HEC in The Punjab University has ranked 1st among large -sized multiple faculty universities. From the commencing The PU was both a teaching and an examining body right.Many major institutions that were in past affiliated to University of Punjab and have now become independent University.
Library of Punjab University (PU):
Library of Punjab University (PU come in first number in Pakistan which is i the largest libraries among the universities in Pakistan. Punjab University Library has beautiful 2 story building. It has reading halls in both ground and the capacity of reader seats is 2500. The library has labs internet for the students to research according to the latest technologies of 21st century and computerized "MLIMs" cataloger for searching material. It consists of 500,000 collections of books, magazines & periodicals.
